Nurra helps families and the nannies they work with coordinate schedules, meals, care logs, and milestones. We know this data is personal — some of it is about your child. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@nurra.app and a real person will get back to you.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details — your name, email address, and password (hashed), plus an optional profile photo and phone number.
  • Household details — the household name, your baby's first name and date of birth, and the names of other household members or invited nannies.
  • Care content you enter — schedules, shift logs, pay rates, time-off requests, tasks, meal plans, grocery lists, care-log entries (feeds, naps, diapers, activities, notes), milestones, and instructions you write for your nanny.
  • Subscription receipts — when you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, we store the product identifier, receipt transaction id, and expiration date so every member of your household can see the active status.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device data — approximate location derived from IP, device type, operating system, browser, and basic interaction events (pages viewed, features used).
  • Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep you signed in and to remember small UI preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.

2. How we use your information

  • To run the core product — show the right schedule, logs, and tasks to the right household member.
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • To process subscriptions and honor entitlements across devices and household members.
  • To send transactional emails (invitations, password resets, receipts) and — only if you opt in — occasional product updates.
  • To debug, measure performance, and improve features. Analytics are aggregated and do not identify your child.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these cases:

  • Within your household — everyone you've invited (partner, nanny, caregiver) can see the shared schedule, logs, and household content. You control membership from the app.
  • Service providers — vendors who run infrastructure for us under contract, including Supabase (database and auth), Vercel (hosting), and email delivery providers. They process data on our behalf and under our instructions.
  • App stores — Apple and Google handle subscription billing and share limited receipt data with us to verify entitlements.
  • Legal — if required by law, or to protect the safety of a user, we may disclose information to authorities.
  • Business transfers — if Nurra is ever acquired, your data would transfer under this same policy (or one at least as protective).

4. Children's information

Nurra is designed for parents and nannies — the adults managing care. Accounts are for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children.

Information about your child (name, birth date, logs, milestones) is entered by you, the parent, and is treated as your household's private data. We don't use it for advertising or share it with third parties outside the service providers listed above.

5. Data retention

We keep your household data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we need to retain records for legal or accounting reasons (for example, a subscription receipt we're required to keep for tax purposes).

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
  • Delete your account and the data associated with it.
  • Export your household data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

To make any of these requests, email hello@nurra.app from the address on your account. We'll respond within 30 days.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest in our database. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. Access to production systems is limited to the minimum number of engineers required to operate the service. No system is perfect — if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we'll notify you promptly and tell you what to do.

8. International transfers

Nurra is operated from the United States. If you use the app from elsewhere, your data is transferred to and stored in the U.S. under safeguards permitted by applicable law.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll notify you in-app or by email before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
